Green File provides immediate access to documents for all authorized users on the system. File selection, retrieval, and viewing are fast, convenient and simple. The user relies on a graphical interface provided via a user friendly Java application.
Viewing a document is as easy as following this process.
The user performs a search for a client, member, employer, etc, either by ID or by name.
All the documents located in the search are displayed in an easily navigable tree view that can be expanded to reveal all of the associated items. In the example below, a Word document and two scanned images are found in this member’s search.
Once expanded to the node level information on each document including the source, effective date, filing date, and location (if the paper document is stored off-site) can be readily viewed.
An attachments tab becomes enabled if one object is attached to another (e.g. the cover letter and the change of address form that were received). If the tab is selected another tree is revealed containing the associated documents.
Once the document has been located, a mouse click will either bring up a preview of the document in the case of a scanned image, or the file will be opened in the appropriate program.
